Voluntary, Community Sector

Welcome to the Voluntary and Community Sector section of the Safeguarding Children Board (SCB) website.

The voluntary and community sector have an important role to play in the support and safeguarding of vulnerable children, young people and families. In Stoke-on-Trent there is a large and very diverse community of voluntary organisations, from small, local groups to larger organisations providing services that are commissioned by organisations such as Stoke-on-Trent City Council. This includes faith groups.

The purpose of having a section specifically for the VCS is to provide all of the most relevant information and links for you in one place. However, it is vitally important that this is not the only section of the SCB website that you look at, as there is information relevant for you throughout this website so please familiarise yourselves with other content, particularly within the policy and procedure section.

If you would like to:

  • provide feedback about the website;
  • suggest a useful link or document to be included in this section; or
  • receive regular email Safeguarding Children updates;
