Our training is funded by members of the Stoke-on-Trent Safeguarding Children Board.
From January 2016 onwards the charge for participants attending SCB training are as follows:-
Partner agencies contributing funding to the SCB training budget - FREE. These include:
City Council Employees
Local Authority Schools
Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Partnership NHS Trust
Royal Stoke University Hospital
North Staffs / Combined Healthcare Trust
National Probation Service (Midlands Region)
HM Prison Service
Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (CAFCASS)
Youth Offending Service
Early Years Childcare Service
Third Sector organisations
Stoke on Trent College / 6th Form College
Staffordshire Fire Service
A charge of £100 per day for a full day training session or £75 for a half day awareness session is made for staff attending from non-contributing organisations within Stoke-on-Trent. Applications received from organisations outside of Stoke-on-Trent will be charged £150 per day for a full day training session or £100 for a half day awareness session.
Attendance on our training events:
In the event that you leave before the end of the training, you will be marked as a non-attendance and charged as per our cancellation policy and no certificate will be given; this will mean that you will have to complete the training again.
• Less than 2 weeks before the course date will incur a cancellation fee of £100 (£75 for half day events)
Please note that regardless of the circumstances if you cancel your place outside of the 2 week deadline given on your letter of invite you will be charged as above.
No charge will be made if a replacement member of staff is substituted, however this staff member must meet any pre-requisite requirements and be approved by the SCB Training Officer.
