Missing Children

Missing people
If a child is missing you should always call the police in the first instance, even if you think you know where they are.  Every minute that a child is missing increases the chances of them being harmed and the police will always prioritise this.

It is the same if an adult who has learning difficulties or conditions such as Alzheimer’s goes missing.

There is advice on running away or children who have run away at www.missingpeople.org.uk/missing-people/young-people or you can telephone 0808 800 7070.

If an adult is missing you can inform the police and there is also a specialist national service to help you, telephone 0800 700 740 or visit their website at www.missingpeople.org.uk/missing-people/missing-adults .
